Michigan Celebrates Names Passage One of 50 Companies to Watch in 2022

The event ticketing platform was recognized for its exceptional growth and disruptive technology

DETROIT, MICH. – Michigan Celebrates Small Businesses (MCSB) announced today that Detroit-based Passage, a ticketing and payments platform that powers specialty events, is one of the 50 Michigan Companies to Watch in 2022.

Michigan 50 Companies to Watch is an awards program honoring second-stage companies headquartered in the state of Michigan. These companies demonstrate high performance in the marketplace or exhibit innovative products or processes.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized alongside these incredible Michigan-based companies,” said Alex Linebrink, CEO of Passage. “Our team sees this as an opportunity to continue to grow and provide economic benefit to the City of Detroit and State of Michigan.”

COVID-19 has led to a tumultuous landscape for business owners, but over the last two years, small businesses have learned to become nimble and innovative in order to accomplish their goals. Passage responded to the challenges of the pandemic by launching social distancing features for events, including a virtual events platform, virtual queues, and social distance seat selection: a dynamic selection tool that automatically blocks off space around a guest’s chosen seat or seats. Those features helped events reopen safely and be in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Michigan Celebrates will recognize these resilient small businesses at their 18th Annual Gala on May 3, and give them a night to relish in all of their success. The 2022 awards ceremony will put Michigan’s small businesses in the spotlight and give them a chance to share their success story with the supporters who helped them get to where they are today.

The list of businesses that will be recognized as this year’s awards gala can be found at MichiganCelebrates.org. The 18th Annual Awards Gala will be in-person at the Breslin Center in East Lansing the evening of May 3. Tickets can be purchased online at MichiganCelebrates.org.
