DETROIT, MICHIGAN — The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), the largest and fastest-growing Pro Development Soccer league in America, announced today a new partnership which names Passage as the Official Ticketing Provider of the UPSL.
Passage has been powering ticketing and payments to thousands of events, with tens of millions of dollars in ticket sales, since 2014. The cutting-edge payments and customer engagement engine built a complete feature set just for soccer teams, branded SoccerStub, which has become the favorite system for the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), United Women’s Soccer (UWS), the National League of Professional Futsal (NLPF), and now the UPSL, too.
As part of this partnership, Passage is kicking off a custom UPSL online portal called UPSL Tickets, available to all UPSL clubs. The UPSL oversees more than 300 teams nationally and operates both a spring and fall season. Each club will be able to personalize the look and feel of their UPSL Tickets portal, which will handle ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions, both online and at the door on match day. Fans can purchase matchday tickets and teams can sign-up to start selling tickets at zero cost by visiting UPSLTickets.com.
While every club can have their own custom portal, the underlying technology gives them all the same level of world-class reporting and top-of-the-line support that Passage is known for.
“Our mission is to provide the best ticketing solution for soccer teams and soccer fans,” said Alex Linebrink, CEO of Passage. “We are delighted to be working with the UPSL and look forward to eliminating some of the headaches that come with managing a growing soccer club.
“Buying tickets should be simple and affordable, whether you’re purchasing a single-game admission or a season pass,” continued Linebrink. “At the same time, teams should be able to track and manage their sales hassle-free. Passage’s mobile point of sale platform allows them to do just that.”
The portal will be available to all UPSL teams in the coming weeks. Individual teams will be able to choose whether to opt-in to their custom UPSL Tickets portal.
“We’re excited to be able to offer our team a turnkey ticketing solution with Passage,” said UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara. “As the fastest-growing development league with teams all across the country, we work hard to provide our clubs with the operational and marketing support they need to reach fans in their areas and ensure an excellent game-day experience. Passage allows our clubs to focus on cultivating great talent and playing great soccer.”
Passage recently introduced a series of upgrades to its ticketing platform, including assigned seating capabilities.
“Our team is constantly building new features and looking for ways to help our teams sell more tickets and merchandise,” said Linebrink. “We are looking forward to growing together with the UPSL and making the sport more accessible to fans nationwide.”
